VALORA is prepared for launch using Vercel hosting, Neon/PostgreSQL for durable records, and Vercel Blob for uploaded/admin media files and related metadata where applicable. Local JSON content may still be used only for local development or explicit fixture workflows, not as the intended durable production store.

Newsletter signup collects email address, optional name, language, frequency and consent. It does not collect newsletter topic preferences at launch. Newsletter records are retained until unsubscribe or deletion request. Kit/ConvertKit should be described as an active provider only when valid credentials are enabled; until then, VALORA may record the request without sending provider email.

Correction requests collect requester name, email, page URL, explanation and source/evidence URL where supplied. The public correction form does not accept file-upload evidence at launch. Correction requests may be retained for up to 1 year unless needed for legal or editorial records.

Volunteer applications collect name, email, skills or interests and message. Volunteer applications may be retained for up to 1 year unless collaboration continues.

The site uses an administrator session cookie for the private dashboard. The cookie is used to authenticate editing access. Admin and audit logs are retained for at least 90 days and may be kept longer for important publication records.

Cookie categories: necessary cookies are required and may include the admin session cookie, cookie consent cookie and security or rate-limit cookies if needed. Preference cookies remember choices such as language preference, theme preference and intro-screen dismissed state. Analytics cookies are not active at launch. Marketing cookies are not active at launch.

Privacy-preserving analytics and client-error monitoring are disabled at launch unless explicitly enabled by environment variables. When disabled, VALORA must not load analytics scripts, marketing scripts, pixels, third-party trackers or marketing cookies. If analytics, marketing, newsletter, email, hosting, database or monitoring providers change, this policy must be reviewed before public use.
